A year in review for Insectyumz – Insect Food Pte Ltd 
 
It’s been a year since edible insect species were approved for human consumption in Singapore back in July 2024.
Here’s a brief reflection on our journey so far. While we’re proud of these milestones, we believe there’s still plenty of room to improve:
 
✨ Pioneered the introduction of edible insects
– We were the first to import edible insects including Crickets, Mealworms, Silkworm Pupae, Locusts, and White Grubs in both whole, powdered or biscuit forms through officially approved channels with full health certifications and permit declarations into Singapore.
 
🛒 Entered the Big 3 Supermarkets in Singapore
Our products are now on the shelves of Sheng Siong (Dec 2024), FairPrice (May 2025), and Cold Storage (Jul 2025).
 
📢 Over 30 Booth Showcases Participation
– We’ve participated in 8 events in 2024 and 21 so far in 2025, engaging directly with consumers and raising awareness about insect-based nutrition.
 
💻 Available in E-Commerce Platforms
– Enabled direct-to-consumer sales via our official website and major online marketplaces like Shopee, Lazada and GrabMart.
 
🏫 Diversified Sales Channels
-We’ve successfully supplied our products to schools, restaurants, cafes, hotel, hawker centre, and other organizations.
 
🎓 Supported Student Research and Innovation
-We’ve been interviewed by over 10 student groups from secondary schools, polytechnics and universities working on sustainability, food innovation, and alternative protein projects.
 
💪 As we close out our first year, we’re grateful for the support from our clients and partners. The journey has just begun — we’re working even harder in Year 2 to introduce more exciting products, expand our reach, and continue driving awareness for sustainable insect protein.
