11–12 March 2026 – InsectYumz was excited to be part of DiscovHER 2026 at the Science Centre Singapore! 🔬✨
Over the two days, we hosted a booth where we had the chance to interact with many curious and enthusiastic students, sharing about the future of sustainable food and the role insects can play in feeding the world. 🌏🦗
To make learning fun and engaging, we introduced an interactive “Insect Match-Up” game, where students matched different insects to their nutritional and sustainability benefits.
From high protein and rich vitamins & minerals to sustainable food sources that use less land and water, students discovered how insects like crickets and mealworms can be part of the future of food.
A special highlight was the debut of our Tom Yum Cricket Mascot, which quickly became a favourite among the students! 🎉 The mascot helped spark fun conversations about edible insects, sustainability, and alternative protein in a friendly and engaging way.
We are grateful for the opportunity to inspire the next generation and be part of an event that encourages girls and young students to explore STEM without limitations. 🚀
A big thank you to the team at Science Centre Singapore for the invitation and for organising such a meaningful event. We look forward to continuing to share the story of sustainable nutrition with more students and communities. 🌱
