As part of our engagement, we delivered an informative presentation on edible insects, highlighting their nutritional benefits and sustainability.

 

To make the experience more interactive, we brought along live crickets and mealworms, allowing children to observe these fascinating creatures up close.

 

Edible insects are gaining popularity in Singapore, especially after the Singapore Food Agency approved 16 species for human consumption in 2024, including crickets and mealworms.

 

These insects are recognized for their high protein content and minimal environmental impact, making them a sustainable food source .

 

Our presentation aimed to educate and inspire attendees about these benefits, aligning with Singapore’s initiatives to diversify food sources and promote sustainable eating habits.
