16th August 2024 – Insect Food Pte Ltd is excited to announce the introduction of our second edible insect species: Crickets (Acheta Domesticus).

Once again, we are proud to be officially the first to legally import Edible Crickets into Singapore complete with Health Certification for human consumption.

We have successfully navigated the extensive process to obtain establishment codes, an SFA license, health certification, and customs import permit. These processes took over a month to complete.

The goods are currently awaiting inspection results from Singapore Food Agency (SFA) which are anticipated to take more than two weeks. We will be able to sell our edible insects to the public only after receiving approval from the SFA.

As promised, we shall continue to introduce a wide range of approved edible insect species to our nation. Stay tuned for more updates!
